ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL [June 30, 2016]—In April, Edlong Dairy Technologies participated in an auction to raise money for Tulgeen Disability Services, an Australian nonprofit that supports people with disabilities. Edlong won the bid for a year’s supply of Bega cheese, a leading Australian brand. Edlong will donate a large portion of these quarterly shipments to local charities. The first installment—45 pounds—was donated to Self Help Closet & Pantry of Des Plaines, a local nonprofit that provides food and clothing to Des Plaines residents in need.
“It feels like Christmas to have such a delicious donation for our clients and families,” said a Self Help Closet & Pantry volunteer.
Edlong has always believed in the importance of giving back and feeding the world. The company plans to donate its winnings every month to continue supporting its neighboring community. This is the second consecutive year that Edlong has won the Cheese of the Month prize by supporting Tulgeen.
