Mervyn Louis de Souza announced as Edlong Chief Innovation Officer. In this newly formed role, Mervyn will lead Edlong’s Global Innovation and Research & Development groups to accelerate innovative flavor solutions for Edlong’s customers.

A graduate of the University of Minnesota’s College of Biological Sciences, Mervyn holds a Master’s degree in Microbial Engineering and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biophysics. He comes to Edlong having held high-level leadership roles within the industry and is the recipient of multiple patents for his work.
