Marsha Van Den Bosch
Supply Chain Manager
Title, location/department, when you started at Edlong.
I joined Edlong’s Supply Chain Department on June 2, 2014.
How would you describe your typical day?
I review cost and opportunities, work with strategic suppliers to improve our overall supply chain and assist with innovative ideas.
I bridge the gap between Supplier & Application R&D. My department touches everyone on a regular basis, but I speak with OPS, QA and customer service continually throughout the day.
What’s your favorite part about working here?
The ability to quickly come together to meet challenges.
Is there a project, event, etc. that sticks out in your mind or a favorite memory that you might have from your time here?
I was working on a project that had a short lead-time and needed every department’s input. It wasn’t for a customer—we work with an organization that improves our supply chain and assists us with getting in front of customers. We received the go-ahead at the last minute. I got everyone together, and we worked as a team in a conference room until the documentation was completed.
How does what you do impact Edlong’s customers?
I focus on improving our supply chain. My goal is to become a champion for building collaborative relationships with our external and internal partners.
I like steak.
One thing your coworkers might not know about you.
I’m an open book! Anyone can ask me anything … they will usually get a straight answer.
Your favorite thing to do for fun.
Shop and drink wine.
