On December 2nd to 4th,Food Ingredients Europe 2025 celebrated the 30th anniversary of one of the world’s leading global food ingredient events at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles in Paris, France.
As Europe’s premier ingredients convention, Fi Europe brought together food and beverage experts, R&D personnel, production professionals, supply specialists, and more from over 1,500 organizations and more than 135 countries to share and shape the future of food innovation.
Edlong was in attendance, showcasing how our authentic flavors and cutting-edge taste technologies can help developers adapt and succeed in this evolving market and regulatory landscape.

Present on behalf of the Edlong Europe team were:
- Susan O’Shaughnessy—Applications Manager – EMEA/APAC
- Pam Leddy—Business Development Specialist
- Trevor Dunne—Business Development Manager, Europe.
“For us, FiE is regarded as one of the must attend shows of the year,” says Dunne.
“We view it as one of the best opportunities to greet and reconnect with current customers, and have important and productive conversations with potential partners. This year definitely delivered on that front, with our booth being extremely busy all three days of the show.”

“We had some very meaningful interactions with current customers, which is always of huge benefit and opportunity to demonstrate some of our latest solutions,” adds O’Shaughnessy.
She continues, “In fact, with all of the visitors to our booth, it was hard for me to get away long enough to explore the rest of the expo. However, this year it was clear that functional and health-driven innovation was the star of the show.”
O’Shaugnessy notes in particular the Winner of the Health Innovation Award: ADM — Lactobacillus gasseri CP2305. ADM highlighted their postbiotic ingredients that support sleep, stress, mood, and gut health, reflecting a strong consumer trend toward wellness-linked food components.
“Fiber was also on the rise and certainly giving signals towards it becoming the “next protein” when it comes to popularity in fortifications.”
Edlong’s demos featured authentic dairy and sweet brown flavors perfectly aligned with the race toward functional and better-for-you formulations.
They also highlighted taste technologies that enable sodium reductions for health-conscious consumers, as well as cost savings from lowering cocoa content.

“This year’s demos [Cocoa-Reduced and Cost-Stabilized Brookie and Sodium-Reduced Crisps] were huge hits with attendees,” explains Dunne.
“Not only did they taste great, but they showed people what Edlong can do to help them with salt reduction and cost stabilization solutions, as well as sweet brown flavors and masking for functional food and beverage developments.”
