ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL [April 21, 2016]—Edlong Dairy Technologies recently visited Tulgeen Disability Services, a not-for-profit organization that provides services that enhance the skills and lives of people with disabilities, in New South Wales, Australia. Edlong executives saw how their 2015 cash contribution through their partner Bega Cheese is helping people with disabilities lead productive lives.
Edlong representatives observed beautiful crafts, explored the facility’s nursery and garden center, and received paintings from Tulgeen residents. “The welcome we received from Tulgeen and Bega was heartfelt, and it was extremely touching to see how they used our support,” says Edlong President and CEO Laurette Rondenet-Smith. The donation is helping fund Tulgeen’s numerous social and disability enterprises, including Riverside Nursery, Bega Valley Work Crew, Stitches and Prints, Tulgeen Packaging Services and new 24/7 Respite Service.
Giving back is a cornerstone of Edlong’s business, and the company plans to triple the amount it contributes to local and global communities. In 2015, Edlong was a major contributor to the $100,000 raised by Bega Cheese for Tulgeen at a corporate auction. Tulgeen is Bega Cheese’s charity of choice.
